02 · Platform
Built on a platform already in production
Ellestin Defence Systems is a division of Ellestin Inc., a Canadian company building electric mobility platforms for civilian and defence use.
Ellestin holds an exclusive perpetual worldwide licence to build unmanned ground vehicles on a European-engineered micro electric vehicle platform that is already in series production. The MV-1 Malinois is built on that platform's chassis and supply chain.
This is deliberate: it gives a defence vehicle the economics of a consumer one.
03 · Technology
Our technology
We develop the autonomy, perception and vehicle-control architecture that turns the mobility platform into an unmanned system. This work is done with leading Canadian AI and robotics partners, and Ellestin holds the commercialization rights.
MV-1's open payload interfaces let mission systems be integrated and upgraded without redesigning the vehicle.
